Project Overview
This project involved comprehensive concrete restoration work for a facility in Harrisburg, PA. The focus was on repairing and protecting the concrete structures of the parking deck and stair towers to ensure safety and longevity.
Purpose and Objectives
The main objectives were to address the deterioration of the cast-in-place architectural fluted concrete stair towers and refresh the appearance and protection of the parking garage deck. The project aimed to enhance the structural integrity and aesthetic appeal of the facility.
Scope of Work
- Concrete Repairs: The deteriorating concrete in the stair towers was patched to restore structural integrity and prevent further debris from falling onto the sidewalk.
- Elastomeric Coating Application: A protective elastomeric coating was applied to the concrete walls of the stair towers to prevent future deterioration and enhance durability.
- Traffic Deck Coating: The old and faded waterproof deck coating on the parking garage was removed and replaced with a new coating to refresh the surface appearance and provide improved protection for the concrete deck.
The project was executed over a 12-week period, with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards. The restoration work not only improved the safety and functionality of the parking deck but also enhanced the overall appearance of the facility.
