Our team specializes in providing aerial roof assessments and roof infrared scans in Dauphin County, Cumberland County, Franklin County, Lancaster County, Lebanon County, York County, and all of Central PA.
How It Works
One of our certified drone operators will fly an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), equipped with a high-resolution, thermal imaging camera over your roof, capturing detailed images and videos of the entire surface.
Once we have the data, we will analyze the images and videos to identify any current or potential issues. Some of these may include:
- Missing or damaged shingles
- Cracks in flashing or around vents
- Signs of wear and tear
- Debris build-up in gutters

Infrared Scans
Houck also offers infrared scanning, or thermal imaging services that allow us to detect moisture problems and heat loss issues without having to tear the roof apart.
Throughout the day, sunlight warms your roof, while during the night, drier regions cool more rapidly than those retaining moisture. By examining the thermal imagery, we can identify warmer spots indicating wet areas, and pinpoint leaks or damp insulation.
Once the infrared survey is completed, Houck will have a series of thermal images to review with you and recommendations for a solution.
